The first course was on photographic screen printing – pure magic – with words like: sentized emulsion, squeegee, hinge clamps, opaque and scoop coater! A long and complex process into the fantastic world of print. In spite all the gear it is the light from a very strong lamp that makes the most!
I got very good instruction at Kristina’s workshop in Pleasant Plains Workshop – as the only student!
And it was definitely fun to do it with the squeegee (squi-djee) – the tool you use to float your frame with color when you are in the last phase of the whole process!
A couple of my drawings became prints on baby girl t-shirts and on some gift bags. Maybe I will put on a little embroidery to spice it up!……… Continuation about the fish…….. to come soon…..
